Taiwan government has promoted the Wisdom Agriculture 4.0 Project in response to the trend of ICT technology advancement since 2017. The plant seedling industry was encouraged to introduce ICT technology and intellectualized control system for production facilities and systematic management. Vegetable nursery produces seedlings usually according to the orders of the farmers. The work processes are complicated and included order management, seed preparation, production scheduling, culture management, goods delivery, and collection management.

A cloud-based management system for the intelligent vegetable seedling production and sale management.Taiwan Seed Improvement and Propagation Station (TSIPS) constructed the intelligent vegetable seedling production and sale management network system to solve the problems that the vegetable nursery industry currently met in shortage of labor and arable lands in agriculture and lack of integrated information between production and sales. In 2017, the prototype of this system was established based on two type of vegetable nurseries which run in different business models. Then function modules of the system were further expanded after counseling with more professional nurseries. In 2018, the system was integrated with modules of remote control operations and management function of remote control operations and management function of the intelligent environmental control host system in seedling nursery facilities. In this year, more functions will be built in to the system, including labor dispatch, working records in time and statistic analysis. TSIPS will counsel the needs of professional vegetable nurseries, introduce this system to them and help them to enhance their management efficiency.
