Founded in 2004, Xizhou Farm of Fu-Tien Vegetable Seedling Nursery at Changhua County mainly produces seedlings of cabbage and Chinese cabbage. Fu-Tien cultivates seedlings through many automated facilities, making it an ideal environment for the introduction of remote control systems. It also has long-term cooperation with administrative and academic institutes and is listed among the exemplary smart agricultural plants in the seedling category in the year 2017.

With the assistance of the Smart Agriculture Project, Creative Way Global Co., Ltd. combines the research and development capabilities of Fisheries Research Institute, COA and Industrial Technology Research Institute to create an automated optical inspection embedded detection system to accelerate ornamental fish inventory and length information digitization.

The experiments were conducted by a semi-automatic dried-longan peeling machine. Four different peeling cams of peeling devices were compared. The radius of curvature of the cam was changed from 40 mm to 50 mm, 55 mm, and 60 mm. The results showed that the speed of peeling devices will decrease as the radius of the outer edge of the cam becomes larger, thereby increasing the peeling success rate.
